Easy answer is Don't assume it's incorrect until proven to be :-)
Also while here Do Not 'improve' things while yr in there.. it's almost a given that your improvements will be detrimental
I suspect what yyou are seeing is the oem configuration.. it Is a bit unorthodox to some.
Got to; 'Kiewa Valley Audi' site (googl) and look up the schematic for your particular model.. and all helpfull relevant info, hopefully leading you to 'improve' things with adequate knowledge of the product.
