I have just finished changing my JBL horn setup to use 2404H "baby bum" tweeters. They are crossed in at 5kHz with a 12db passive line level crossover.
The problem is that they are very hissy. It doesn't matter which amp I use (tube or SS). Is this normal for these tweets? Or is it an indication of something noisy down the chain? Or is is the result of crossing them in at a relatively low frequency?
