sorry...DM are a great band; starting with Violator (1990) they began using a more electronic, if dark, sound... Exciter 2001 is also a great album... the last, Playing the Angel, is a pretty dark electronic album...
Speak & Spell and Music for the Masses are fantastic genre setting albums from the 80's...
I'd get those 5 to start with... :)
