I have heard a lot of players on different systems, including as you know players modified using your expertise.Whilst I wouldn't consider the XA9000ES to be "state of the art" or the ultimate in SA-CD or CD reproduction, I think it delivers an above average performance for it's price.
Anyway, Michi is entitled to buy whatever she wants to buy. And given she owns (or owned?) the older XA777ES, presumably she likes the sound?
