Balanced is NOT cleaner than unbalanced; it is simply more immune to RF-induced noise and that is only a problem in certain environments and with LONG cable runs. In fact, the input stage noise is usually higher for a balaned input.Second, you are not connecting the Zapfilter to anything DSD; it is an analog stage and connects after the DAC in the player.
Frankly, I see a lot of hand-waving for no advantage (unless the ZAPfilter is a vastly superior analog output stage than the stock one).
