DVP-NS500V versus higher-end, Marantz SA8001 say

Thanks for your post. I too have a Sony DVP-NS500V and like it. I guess there are two questions I am considering right now:

1) Whether a change from the Sony DVP-NS500V to something higher end, like the Marantz SA8001, would be worth it. This decision would be based entirely on (two-channel) SACD quality, because for CD and DVD I use a DVD player as transport to a Benchmark DAC-1.

2) Whether a change from the Sony DVP-NS500V to the Oppo would be worth it, again based solely on two-channel SACD.
