Home Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

A small update.

Just so people won't start saying the Pioneer 578a sounds much better on SACD, after playing for 24 hours the 570 does seem to have improved noticeably. I'm still not ready for any critical listening. And, if you've waiting on the edge of your chair, I figured out how to re-play the track you are listening to from its beginning with just two button pushes. You push "stop" followed by "enter.'' Intuitively obvious, isn't it? This thing was not designed to be an SACD player as its primary use. And where did the name "Oppo" come from? Consider what it spells inside out.

Joe
