But you are right. My comment had absolutely nothing to do the the JC-1 - for the record I have never heard the JC-1s, so don't have an opinion of them, positive or negative. If you had read my post carefully, I have never said whether I *personally* thought they were good or bad. In fact, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt by saying they "should be good".
My comment was more about Anton's system, particularly given he has B&W speakers in his HT system and feels it is not comparable in quality to his stereo system. Hence my comment re "outclassed" - it was not a value judgement on my part but simply acknowledging Anton's subjective opinion on the relative merits between his two systems.
My original suggestion, which you seem to have taken great exception to, is that perhaps his power amps are underpowered. I would have made the same suggestion REGARDLESS of what amp he owned and how much power they had. A friend of mine has the same speakers as Anton and recently upgraded to the kW750 and clearly there was a big difference between it and the kW500 or even my humble A5s, so it seems on B&W the more power the better.
