I also think that it's encouraging that Sony is breaking from the normal practice of compressing cds into mp3s and is allowing for "de-compression" in an effort to improve upon the source cd. Whether this has any relevance or impact upon the audio world, and if Sony intends to expand their efforts in this area remains to be seen. But in some faraway dream, I can just imagine audiophiles listening to DSD files on their iPod-defeating Sony Network Walkmen. Okay, maybe thats TOO faraway, but it's a nice thought...
