This is a 2-ch only player with a very nice tubes output (it also has a ss output). My unit has performed flawlessly for 6 months now. The one idiosyncracy is on SACD's with continuous music across tracks there is a very brief disruption in the music floe (similar to what happens on an Ipod but less obvious). The same issue does not happen with cd's on this player. Other than that, the sound is sweet and full through the tubed outs.
