Home Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

SO what, exactly, is your point??

I still can't figure out what you're trying to say. SACD from DSD sounds terrific, and is darn close to my Teres 340/Schroeder Referencce/Allaerts MC-1b/ Nagra PL-P. I get just oodles of enjoyment out of the fine collection of SACDs I have, and I will continue to buy ONLY WHAT INTERESTS ME, in whatever format I can find (vinyl first, SACD second, the pushing-up-daisies DVD-A next.)

Feeding consumers who like pop music compressed to within an inch of it's life is not something ANY high-rez format needs to attempt. The garbage can (or "medium") may be clean, but there's still garbage (compressed music) in it.

Why in the name of all that's gracious would one make a PCM copy of an analogue master, when one can listen to the analogue version...;) (There's no reason if ione likes high-rez digital not to also take advantage of the "older, deader" format that's still lying about.)
