Yes, but the machine above has to have enough mass to make it work.If your 777Es is the original circa 70ib SCD-777ES then you can sit the player directly on a 16" bike inner tube - inflaed just enough to get the player up off the table and with the valve not touching either the player of the table underneath. This is what I use myself.
if it's the light(ish) XA777ES or other 'toy" machine - then sit the palyer on a granite, or other heavy thick plate - even a concrete paving slab - and have the bike tube under this.
