agree that they're not always the best of the best. If you get the old reviews out, they were often spot on (the old High Fidelity and Stereo Review LP reviews) regarding performance, sonics, etc. But the MLP and LS era obviously was remarkable for the achievements--I marvel at how they sound on the new hybrids.
