... the bit about 6 month break-in. I would be more inclined to seek a psychological explanation for the perceived change over 6 months. My experience with level-5 has been that the difference over previous versions is deep but subtle: it is more vinyl-like, by which I mean more natural, richer, with a deeper soundstage. So the difference is not the stuff of 'wow'-factors, zing! and pow! But these qualities are the sort that satisfy long-term, keep you immersed in music rather than thinking about hi-fi.
