Hi,I'm a very satisfied customer of VSE. Had my mod lev 5 delivered & (self-) installed back in September 2005 and have been very, very happy with it ever since.
An unusual thing happened though: the player (Sony 555ES) has exhibited a considerable shift to warmer and more natural sound in the last few weeks. Allen told me that he already had reports of the mod needing up to 6 months (!) to fully break in. After what happened to my installation I tend to believe it. And I leave it turned on 24/7.
If I was (very) satisfied before, now I'm very close to sonic nirvana! (won't say achieved, the 5+ mod still pending :-) )
What are the break-in experiences of the other VSE lev 5 mod owners out there?
