and get a HDTV that did 1080p and a new HD-DVDplayer that plays both HD formats which will be out soon for around 500. I have a Mitsubishi Diamond 55" RPTV which is rated best for movies and a Denon 2800MkII DVD player. I feed my Concast HD box to my TV through FireWire connection. Anybody that would spend a lot of money for a DVD player now with HD-DVD coming out should think twice unless its to view the DVDs already owned. I stopped buying DVDs last year waiting for HD-DVD player and movies. JMO. Of course you could buy a Mitsubishi HD-VCR and dub from your Comcast HD box by FireWire to the HD-VCR and then to the TV by Firewire too. Comcast has reduced the band with on HD for 19mhz to 15mhz so the picture is not as good as when I first bought my TV.
