I've been to the Stereophile website (after doing a Google search) and read the various comments (including yours Kal) about the unit. Unless the various level adjustments are right at the start of the audio chain, I'm concerned that the input sensitivity is such that Ian (my friend) would be no better off with that than he is at present with his Technics amp. The price would mean that it's over a grand here and that would be beyond his means at the moment.
