I have purchased and enjoyed the series of Mahler Sympnonies 1,2,6,7, and 9 (Have to get the 3rd) done by Michael Tilson Thomas and The San Francisco Symphony Orch. Each one seems to be sonically better than their former and as a group represent some of the best Classical SACDs..and clearly the first "Purpose made" recordings with SACD in mind. Since I am not a Mahler Scholar, I cannot speak for these as historic interpretations, but they sure are pleasing....other opinions???
