I don't know, but for some reason it's the 1954 recording that gets the attention rather than the one from 1962. RCA never released the '62 version on CD until pretty late in the game, and then only in their super-budget Victrola line. (It was also released in Europe as part of a 2-CD set that included Munch's second BSO recording (1961) of Berlioz's 'Romeo et Juliette'--another recording that got short-shrifted on CD in favor of his older one from 1953.) I think it's now part of a box set that includes all (or most) of the Munch/BSO Berlioz recordings.Russell
