Since then Denon designs and makes its own stuff. No more 'clones' like the one above.

Anyway, the manner in which my -A11's transport works is totally different to the Panny I also have. For a start, the -A11's motor spins at twice the speed to 'read-ahead' audio data from the disc into into its 8Mb cache.

My -A11 also spools-up all discs after tray insertion (regardless of weight differences) lighteningly quick -- It does seem very powerful indeed.

The Panny's motor, OTOH, is a damn slow S.O.A.B. (during spool-up) and makes noticeable noises and sqeeks during normal play.
