Hmm. No. The phono plays fine through the main speakers and it is connected to the phono. The manual does sy for the recorder outputs "level is non-variable and approximatly the same as the selected input source". I would think that this would work since my tube headphone amp is designed to take input directly from a cdp. Thanks for the input. I'll try it again and maybe swap out tubes.
