We are all fully aware about car slot players for the CD side of DualDisc. But for the DVD side there are no compromises. It IS a DVD-5. The jewel-box's inlay displays the DVD Forum's logo for that reason. If a player has a problem with the DVD side (and assuming it's not a slot-loader) then the player is the problem -- either with its firmware compatibility or physical hardware.
