Yes, hf content can upset certain systems. However, with care, it can be easilly shown (heard) that music with higher bandwidth sounds more open and 'relaxing' w/o hf hash.Afterall, the benefit of hirez is extended bandwidth plus getting rid of the gremlins associated with 20 kHz filtering of the steep or not so gentle kind.
It is better to listen with an outboard dac with good digital transfer. I do not trust Creative products at all! The earlier EMUs had very poor (by hifi) standards performance.
