The question was based on request for Practical listening tests of which you have replied to...
As yet I havent even plugged in my Denon 3910 and am using the Pioneer 747...Its still to be run in....With a genuine SACD...
It is always interesting to know someone will review a piece of equipment however my years of experience has told me that it means very little unless it highlights a major technical failing...Years of blind testing , modifying and demonstrating have shown that different listeners have varying hearing...It is always almost possible to make any system sound better than any other sytem to a known listener provided you know how,,,
I was reminded of a in house design "think tank" situation when equipment was found to be less than satisfactory...I will resist the temptation to name drop "which" hi end gear....
The mathematician would always theorize something mathematically first as the major influence ,the designer of the power supply another etc etc...
Being a Librian by birth with a background of electronics and accountancy I always seemed to notice this..
I will be progressing this upsampling suibject in its various guises with an open mind...and hope to post the results of listening tests by more than myself.on this forum
