Thought I posted this but dont see it.
Im replaceing caps and inductor in Maggi 1.7i xo. Using Jupiter OFC wire.
Im guessing the Clairity and Mundorf cap leads are aluminum, inductor is copper foil.
Stock wire looks to be aluminum. I have to keep some of stock wire as I cannot access some terminations.
So is there any problem mixing copper and aluminum wire?
Follow Ups:
More likely, the leads are tinned copper, not aluminum. So, no problem.

Geoffkait@ Nt? No thanks? Nice try? Next time? None fit the post.
Magnepan's reply, nickel coated copper wire is used in the 1.7i.
I was not able to soldied new xo wire to soldier points on stock xo board. Must need a very hot soldier iron and it is tight quarters so I came up with plan B.
Cut stock wires off soldier points and soldiered them to new xo wires off board.
After triple triple checking wireing, I powered up system and thank the Lord it works. Actually sounds good, but Ill give it about 200 hours burn in time with 24 hour streaming.
Thanks for commemts. Maybe this will help other folks who may want to mod their Maggies.

Aluminium wire is not very popular except in HV transmission lines today...
Happy Listening
Leads on caps are tinned copper according to Clairty cap site.
I just read a post about someone refurbishing old Maggies and they had trouble soldiering wire and contacted Magnepan. Appearently they are aluminum wires and they sell a kit for repair.
Im not sure if they were refering only to planar wires or hook up wire too. Seems they would use same kind wire through out.
Ill put a call into Magnepan and go from there.
Anything is possible-
Good idea to contact them-
Happy Listening
It is highly unlikely that there is any aluminum in the cap leads or in the wiring. It most likely tinned copper.
Scrape a small section of the questionable wire to see if it is a tin or silver plated copper wire. I doubt it is aluminum.
