Does it matter which half of a duplex (on the PLC)the 193L is plugged into? I thought I read something recently that discussed primary and secondary outlets of a duplex. I tried to find the posts again to reread
them but am unable to. I think Alan Maher was a poster on this post but all inmates with relevant information are welcome to answer. Thanks.

Follow Ups:
Duplex outlets generally have a break-off tab connecting the two outlets on each side. This is done to allow one convenience outlet in a home to have one outlet switched and one always on.
Oyaide outlets do not have this feature. Furutech outlets have the tab but it is not scored and should not be broken off.
If the conditioner has one pair of wires going to the outlet, plug the load into the outlet to which the wires are attached, and plug the choke into the other side. If there are two pairs of wires, one to each side, then it does not matter.
Unplug the conditioner before taking it apart to determine how the duplex outlets are wired.
The break-off tab is the same metal as the wire connection plates, but is scored to allow it to be broken off easily. This stress in the metal is bad for current flow to the audio equipment load.
For DIY outlet boxes, plan on wiring each outlet separately.
Thanks for the information Al. You are an invaluable resource here on AA. I am a machinist and electrically illiterate. I rely on the knowledge of AA members and have had great results following their directions. Thanks again all.

a receptacle on a duplex outlet. Plug the choke into the remaining open receptacle.I think your Q about the primary and secondary is in reference to discussions on the choke application when using a transformer based power conditioner. A transformer has a primary and secondary side. If you don't use such a PC, then just plug the choke into the open receptacle into which your component plugs.
