What kind of sound do you want?

Head banging, bass heavy metal? I'd suggest KenRad.

Jazz, vocals and small ensemble? RCA gray glass.

Something more full spectrum? Just about any Sylvania.

I never tried PSVANE 6SN7, but if the character of them is anything like their 12AX7 I couldn't recommend. Their overpriced 12AX7 sounded bloody awful. Mud. Very thick and slow sounding.

  Also try Soviet vintage 6H8C from the 50s or 60s, which can still be found for little money on eBay. You'd probably be surprised at how good they sound!
