According to the owners manual all the 12ax7s are supplied with 6.3 vac (full heater voltage) and they should all be lite up normally. You might want someone with a volt meter to check it.

  depending on the condition of the selenium rectifier and the caps in that supply the voltage might be even lower. You should have that looked at.

    I've learned not to put money or time into any piece I don't intend to keep. I'll leave a checkup and update to the next audio nut.

  I've come across some brands that you can barely tell if they are on or not. I think they were Russian made 12AX7 LPS.
