Wait 2 weeks, file a non-delivery dispute, leave negative feedback. You'll get your money, he'll get negative feedback, and you learn never buy directly from China again :-)

Yep, you're right. I'll get my money, he gets negative feedback.I won't buy directly from mainland China again. Taiwan absolutely, Hong Kong maybe (I know it's really now China, I guess).
Selling a record collection to Asia on ebay, I learned to refuse shipment to anywhere except Japan. Another story ...............
Thanks.

So you will absolutely buy/sell directly to someone in Taiwan or you absolutely won't?
I live in Taipei and I have not had any issues dealing with anyone here locally, of course I can't speak for everyone, just want to share my own experience.

Japan either. Never had problems with Japan. Everywhere else in Asia I have had problems.... BC
I've bought a tn of stuff from Chinese eBay sellers, never had a problem. Had to return an item that was broken (maybe in transit? Maybe not-?) and the seller refunded my money after it arrived.
I HAVE had problems with some USA sellers. Was sold non-working stuff that was listed as working etc. Was shipped a car radio when the auction was for a car CD player. Had to go through Paypal etc to get these resolved. One seller even threatened to have his mob friends rough me up.
So, there's no point in making overgeneralized statements. Sales by Chinese sellers are no more likely to go sour than sales by US sellers. When dealing with people who speak little English, remember that Google Translate is your friend.
