I'm curious are you as amused as I am when the objectivists here use their--- "This is a scientific orientated forum & thus requires PROOF to verify what you believe" --- when they attempt to silence subjectivists here?
The reason I find that comment so very amusing (especially when coming from the same objectivists who are always demanding PROOF that verify subjectivist beliefs) is due to the fact that these objectivists have blind faith in the "null hypothesis." A hypothesis is defined as:
1 a : an assumption or concession made for the sake of argument b : an interpretation of a practical situation or condition taken as the ground for action.
2 : a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences.
3 : the antecedent clause of a conditional statement.
It comes from Greek hupothesis, proposal, supposition, from hupotithenai, hupothe-, to suppose : hupo-, hypo- + tithenai, to place.
So basically a hypothesis is assuming but NOT proving something will occur. Perhaps even more amusing is the fact these "supposedly" seekers of PROOF blindly believe & espouse a principle which they know CANNOT possibly support their objectivist POVs! Afterall everyone knows it's impossible to prove the null hypothesis because one cannot absolutely prove a negative with statistics.
Their arguement boils down to this:
We as objectivists CANNOT prove our POV is correct, therefore we demand subjectivists prove their POV is correct! To that demand I say hogwash! As objectivists who require PROOF of others beliefs they should be just as willing to provide PROOF of their beliefs. If they cannot provide this proof, then perhaps they shouldn't blindly believe in an unproveable hypothesis, when constantly demanding proof from others!

As you said, there is no need for proof with any of those type of people, nor any need to prove anything. I'm still rather jealous of you all, as I'm sure others are.

It's not rational to mention the Randi Challenge in this context. Want proof? Didn't think so. Just remember though, it's there for the asking.
You have made many a post on this forum. Can you cite one in whcih you offer any scientific proof of any technical claim? I'm setting the bar awfully low here, surely you can step over it. No?
AJ has elevated naysaying to an art form. That is his forum contribution, constant naysaying to anything else having an effect on the sound except for speakers and the room the two easiest things for his simplistic viewpoint filtered hearing to hear.
And YET, he has like 5 or 6 different brands of amplifier and is considering tubes on his tweeters. But you know, there is no DBT proof they sound different I just like to try new things Blah blah blah. If it walks like a hypocrite and talks like a hypocrite...well you get the idea. Maybe if we looked around his house we might find a dozen or so different speaker cable brands and interconnects. LOL! Maybe Mr. Naysayer is in fact a closet tweakoholic!!

5 or 6 brands? I have more amplifiers than that, but when did I say all different brands? I would consider a tube amp for the tweeters. The rear ones, that fire into the reverberant field, which could then be rotated.....ah never mind. Just keep reviewing stuff that make "stunning improvements" in your rag.

Have you tried fingernail filing the edge of your cd's and applying some black nail polish? It's supposed to make them sound a lot more like vinyl by looking more like an LP.
