MC - AJ has elevated naysaying to an art form
Thanks. The pipers tune doesn't quite do it for me yaysayer.
MC - naysaying to anything else having an effect on the sound except for speakers and the room
A quote Pinocchio? Or did I say the speaker/room is approx 95% and the rest 5% towards system sound contribution. Not considering the effect of the recording quality. Hmm, I wonder which one it is I said?
"Stunning improvements" in your system that fall below ABX threshold don't fit into my 5% system eh?
MC - And YET, he has like 5 or 6 different brands of amplifier and is considering tubes on his tweeters
5 or 6 brands? I have more amplifiers than that, but when did I say all different brands? I would consider a tube amp for the tweeters. The rear ones, that fire into the reverberant field, which could then be rotated.....ah never mind. Just keep reviewing stuff that make "stunning improvements" in your rag.
MC - But you know, there is no DBT proof they sound different
Correct. But that does not mean that they cannot sound different driving reactive loads. There can be very subtle differences, as sane people have said ad infinitum. Well inside the 5%ish where you reside.
MC - Maybe if we looked around his house we might find a dozen or so different speaker cable brands and interconnects
Of course. I don't just shop at Radio Shack to fill the needs of the 5%ish category.
We have already established that your 95%ish is severely lacking. Need we continue?

and you still failed to clear it. I feel so psychic.......not
Does putting rouge around your ear lighten up the sound of your stereo?
What about blush? Any affect on the sound?
Have you tried fingernail filing the edge of your cd's and applying some black nail polish? It's supposed to make them sound a lot more like vinyl by looking more like an LP.
Now what's all this about bars? You into limbo?
cheers,
AJ

You might start hearing differences if you just pulled your head out of your ass.
