My digital players have touch-screen displays, and they function very well. I find myself using the touch-screen much more often than I use the push-buttons.On the other hand, my computer has a touch-screen and I've never used it. I always use the keyboard and mouse instead.

it seems to depend upon one's UI preference, gear locality and system mix. I was curious to get different perspectives.
While my preamp has a touch screen, I use it only for configuration purposes. Display is winked out in use. The remote deals with everything I need for playback and music selection for digital library/Qobuz controlled via pad/phone/watch.
I use the same media server software in the garage, office and bedroom with same experience. Music on HT uses local memory card storage on an Oppo player. :)
