Agreed, but there was something in the original post, i.e. the list of artists, that suggested that he was not interested in that sort of thing.

I was misleading in my request or perhaps not request specific.

That being said I'm very open and receptive to most suggestions. I suppose Opera and most importantly no RAP would be my only caveats.

    Than Aretha Franklin and perhaps Patsy Cline who Ive perhaps read about in my scribes most of these are ALL new to me. Are they all still performing today?
    
    I also appeciate live music in smaller venues.

      most of the singers mentioned in this "Astounded" sub thread are deceased. However, in their day, many were consistently among the leading Hit Parade singers, and are considered to be among the all-time greats in the history of jazz and popular music. As someone mentioned, "Allmusic.com" and "Wikipedia.com" are great resources for learning about the lives and discographies of these legendary singers. You may even find some video clips on the YouTube website.
