IMO the only thing we got going for us is the filibuster and what is left of the court system and bureaucracy. The oath of all enemies foreign and domestic is bull crap. It looks like the dems will lose the house?

    The last left-of-center president we had was Richard Nixon. Even Carter was a deregulate and privatize guy.
    It's true the Democrats are out of touch. They need money to campaign with and that means abandoning all the party stood for from FDR through LBJ.
    But there will be a backlash and in two years, the Dems will probably retake Congress by default.
    There's always a backlash. People tend to vote for something and then get pissed off when that something happens.
