For the first few months her handlers kept her hidden, as any time she opened her mouth people's jaws dropped.
After months of couching she became better... but never good.
In plain English she is dumb. Her performance through the debates was laughable, so it not for Joe's totally racist and idiotic promise to pick a black woman, she would never have a chance in politics.

I disagree with that assessment. Just the fact that she was a female and part black loads the odds WAY against her. Remember is overtures to the Little Rocketman, who treated him like some insignificant shit?
There are other interests, some very strong, that he will have to consider. And it is not just the military industry, that makes billions on wars - as they should.
So his idiotic one line proclamations are just that.

Towards Ukraine because the Russians have a say in the matters as well and they are not likely to cooperate to the extent Trump thinks they may. Besides he may not get his way against the Blob.
I'm not so sure about benign years since the are a few fractions in Trumps camp with a bat crazy ideas. One of them is making US great again :)

He is not a dummy, for sure, but he would never land that $2B without his FIL in the WH.

They gave billions of taxpayers money to support Ukraines destruction when that money should have gone to defend OUR border to stop the murder of 100,000 Americans dying from Fentanyl poisoning. Did you like how they were limited on how Ukraine could use the munitions. But there is no account for where the money went.
...I'm agin' our Ukraine policy as well. Not because of any phony border crisis but because of the basic immorality of using another country as a proxy and giving it just enough to ensure years of stalemate because... why? Because it's what we always do? I mean, remember the Iran-Iraq War? We played both sides to keep that thing going as long as possible even though children were being used to clear mine fields. And folks wonder why the Iranians don't trust us.
If saving Ukraine is really vital to the survival of democracy, then why the half measures? Why not sell it to the American public and ask for some real sacrifices beyond those "We Stand with Ukraine" flags that are all faded now anyway?
If the goal is just to weaken Russia and our foreign policy establishment is willing to sacrifice Ukraine's cities and population for some nebulous Kissingeresque realpolitik nightmare, then that's a big "nuh-uh" from me.
If Trump actually follows through and ends US involvement--a big "if"--then good for him.

Trump ran a terrible campaign, just terrible, but it didn't even matter as people even stopped showing up for his campaigns. It didn't matter. That is the point. It really didn't matter.
(Did her Israeli response matter any? No. The Muslim/Arab contingent are just not that predominant.)
Did the woman/abortion vote matter? Well, yes, of course, it mattered a lot. She would have lost the popular vote by even more.
Fareed Zacharia had a good summary of the USA social divide. It is a social divide that seems cast in stone at this point.

It was far from terrible, it was perfectly tailored to his target audience.
Hate mongering and tons of lies worked like a charm. I don't know if he studied Goebbels' works, probably not, but intuitively he followed that recipe, and it worked.
