Your "up against the side walls" prior suggestion hadsworked well for me, with the perfect reflection, and the desirable ILLUSION that the sound stage Width is even beyond the walls with a solid front "curtain of sound."

I listen to Music with just R and L with the subs on of course. For 4K Video, it's 11 channels full Atmos with diminishing returns past 5.1.
