you're kidding, right? everything was fine between you and romy until he visited you at oswald's mill. he ate your food (which btw he told me were probably the best meals he'd ever eaten in his life) and enjoyed your hospitality (he went on and on about what a great guy you were, the amazing food you cooked, and the magnificent job you did restoring the place). but when you asked him what he thought of your beloved vintage hifi, he told you what he really thought, of course, instead of being 'polite' and lying like most us in the same situation - he thought it sounded horrible. somebody took it personally, i see. suddenly, you became the official romy watch dog.
btw, i find it funny that after all this time, and after all of your "I'll be nailing him for that every single time he posts on this asylum", he still has never, ever mentioned the above visit, on his own site or any other.

Over and over again, in meatspace and cyberspace, the life form plays nice for just enough time to catch one off guard and say the most foul things. The life form is not to be tolerated and that treatment is well earned many times over by the life form itself.

Over Romy! An infection of the virtual realm, since first migrating from the layer of pond scum it was borne upon. Spreading its chancres to the furthest reaches of cyberspace. For years. Unending. In perpetuity. We aren't the only benfactors of his fine grace and airs. The entire net reeks of him. And yet some here in HiEff praise the stench, and exalt the orifice which produces it.
Amazing. Truly.

Don't know Romy from Adam, never met him. And .... could care less about him. Entirely indifferent to the f'ing freak. Don't read his shite, or visit his 'lair.' And don't even bother expending my dislike on him. Though yes, he has attacked me on another more social, less equipment oriented site (now defunct). When he did, I came to realize in that moment, that there are *ssholes. And then there is Romy (who had simply materialized in the thread out of nowhere, and then proceeded to take a dump in my face).
What I do know is that real hatred towards him, exists across the net entire. Real fierce hatred. From a not inconsequential number of people. Cyberspace gives Romy what the atomic world does not. A strong measure of immunity from the consequences of his actions. Were Romy to say the things he does, to people he has never met, to their face. On any street, of any city in America. Would give him a new view of the world (from his back, looking up at the stars).
Myself, dislike what he does to any/every forum, thread or discussion. EVERY time. Destroying all calm, any ease, fine goodwill, and enjoyment. He rampantly slaughters the fun, with wholesale disregard. Feel free to call me stupid for letting the pustule take another minute of my time. It shan't happen again.
