It is not really true that high-impedance headphones are "harder to drive" than low-impedance ones. Headphone "sensitivity" is the gauge, but high-impedance headphones like voltage while low-impedance headphones like current.   Before choosing any new pair of headphones, do some research and post some relevant questions in as many headphone forums as possible. It can get confusing at times but nothing beats real world advice. Manufacturers don't always provide straight answers because they are most interested in selling their products.
