... is that electrostatic panels (including headphone panels) often need to be rebuilt in as little as 20 years after production. If they stopped making Lambdas back in 1995, then you might only have a few more years of *un-distorted* listening pleasure left on them. Buyer beware!

That may well be - but the STAX SR-Lambda SR-507 is the current latest outing.
