They don't recommend for any other gear, only the Schiit preamps.

  ... I think that has more to do with them just not wanting to be in the middle of any disputes involving other brands. It'd be easy to try a LISST and then point fingers at that tube if the gear had any problems after that. With their disclaimer they have an immediate fallback where they can say "we told you not to do that!"
