I guess you pretty much ignored my postings about problematic tracking of Koetsu in general, but especially in your Rega-sourced arm.Well, be like that! :-))
Technically, what is causing your high-frequency mistracking is the hardened suspension. It is pretty stiff in a new Koetsu, but as they age, it gets worse. Dry climate/apartment doesn't help. The synthetic rubber donut damper around the cantilever has dried somewhat and hardened, hence - bad tracking. I have seen these problems on many Koetsus, including my own Onyx. That is why it was sent out for a rebuild. You can do anything you want, including changing the speakers, like some members have suggested, putting your table on floating sea-going ship, nothing will change. I used to tinker with Koetsu supensions a bit in the past, and even improve on some of them, but in your case - GET A CARTRIDGE MORE SUITED FOR YOUR ARM, or GET THE ARM MORE SUITED FOR KOETSU!!!!! If it makes you feel better, Koetsus don't work in my arm (MG-1) either. You need something like a big heavy Dynavector, or FR-66, or Ikeda, or even a big parallel-tracker. Or just ignore it and get used to the lisp...
