It looks like most agree: if it's not the LP itself (whether damaged or badly-pressed), then it's mistracking, due to misalignment or, most likely, to mismatch with tonearm. My suggestion would be to get another cartridge with higher compliance, better tracking than Koetsu and compare. There's a number of great MC trackers out there, including the current bargain of the century - AT OC-9 ($289 new). If that thing still mistracks in your system, then you got gremlins!
