Copper paint will have little if any effect on either EMI or RFI, while copper sheeting will have minimal effect, passing 2/3 and reflecting 1/3. EMI can be eliminated by lining your enclosure with Mu Metal, which tends to be rather expensive. IMHO the best solution would be to line your enclosure with with TI Shield Material (Texas Instruments Shield Material) which Texas Instr. says blocks 98+ % of both EMI & RFI, when properly grounded. It is available from Percy in sheet form in 12" width & varying thicknesses, and is reasonably priced. This looks to be the ticked for your purpose and the thinest sheet should both block and contain* EMI/RFI in your your enclosure. It is easy to work with using tin snips, and solders readily. To be effective the shield must be well ground.* this also comes in very handy for blocking EMI/RFI that is generated inside the enclosure such by tfmr.s, rectifiers, 3-terminal voltage regulators etc.
Happy Shielding !
