First, have a good electrician look at your earth ground, and drive a new rod if necessary. You could also have the breaker panel replaced if it is old and the conductors appear to be corroded. This is primarily for your safety, but will have major audio benefits as well.

The simplest way to identify noise sources is to listen carefully with them on, then unplug them and listen again. Anything containing a switching power supply, such as video gear, anything powered by a wall-wart, anything with a fluorescent display, and anything with a motherboard in it may be a noise source that affects your audio system. Most of these appliances can be tamed by plugging them into inexpensive surge protector strips that also have RFI/EMI noise filters. Things like UPS devices for computers may need more elaborate filters.
