Do you have marble or granite? Marble rings like crazy. Granite is slightly better. I use granite under some of my components, but use a sandwich method by combining Granite/Vibration Absorption sheet/MDF. It works better that way.Does the super ball bounce? If so, you might want to try a material call Norsorex (aka Unhappy Ball) It look like a black sorbothane ball. But when you drop it on the ground, it does not bounce. There's a discussion on this material in the tweak asylum right now.
