Yes, I agree that the SED EL34 is the best of the EL34 I've used/heard. The KT77 is even better, and I mention it because it's a drop-in replacement for EL34 -so sorry for any confusion there.The SED offers a very, very sweet mid-range and top-to bottom satisfaction, the KT77 all that with more of a sense of depth, "air" and just plain...clarity. I was never too happy with the JJ E34L (different and many think superior to the JJ EL34), and IMO the JJ KT77 is a far superior tube.
There have been some reports of pin size problems and "crooked" envelope problems with the JJ KT77. I have NOT experienced those problems. You can do a search hear about both the SED EL34 and JJ KT77 for further opionions/experiences. Both have much good word of satisfying results.
