I replaced a Bent Audio NOH passive preamp with a Space-Tech Labs QA-115 REG, and gained improvements in all of the sonic areas that I deem important. I thought that I was 'at the end of the road' with the NOH, which is a very highly-regarded passive, but Albert's new-age vintage preamp does so many things so well. It is not in the least over-euphonic or slow, and produces excellent, well-articulated, deep bass (fully-tubed power regulation). Fortunately, both designers live in, or near, Vancouver, where I live.
