For minor microphony issues, Herbie's can do the trick; FWIW, I can't hear a lick of difference between the different types they sell, although they market the differences as if it were profound. Top Hats (out of production) work better, and Vintage Tube Services heavy brass tube dampers do the best job IME. Only Top Hats can fit in your application since it sits above the tube. However, the cage should be removable, and it really doesn't provide much functionality anyhow.
