I'm reminded of Mike Samra, who periodically acquires vintage amps for rebuilding and restoration. He claims he often turns around and sells the tubes for as much or more than he pays for the amps. After the amps are rebuilt, he can sell them for a nice price. The amps are basically free, so whatever the difference is what he earns on his time, and the love of the game.I like the idea of free amps...
