Anyone thought about or currently invest in vacuum tubes? My thought is that they are a diminishing resource and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to drop a few $$$ in say, RCA Blackplates NOS NIB and then put them someplace safe for a few years.I'd be interested to hear from those that think this is a good idea as well as those that think it's silly.
On a side note, I'm wondering if the market for tubes and vintage gear will peak at some point? I'm 33 but it seems as if a lot of those in the hobby are considerable older? I personally don't know of anyone in my age range that has a clue about tubes and audio.
